Hi, thanks for the reminder.
I'm still stuck with the curvy part, the last thing I came up with where some random dots.
Here's a try, but I'm not happy with it. Maybe it only needs a lot of more blue dots.
I also thought about fish shaped parts.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated :-))

Hi Heidi,
ReplyDeleteYou've got a great piece going there. Love the green and blue color combo. Also, the asymmetrical balance adds interest. The circles are a nice addition, I just think they are on the wrong side! Try switching them to the lower corner and going up the right side and toward the left side on the bottom.
They will then balance the darker blue squares. Also, include a couple more of the darker blue circles to give more visual weight to the balance. Maybe you will 'see' this in a more favorable light then.:)
Happy Designing, jo
Thanks Jo,
ReplyDeleteyes, the yellow dots look definitely misplaced.
I'll play with more blue ones and the other side .

I like the dots, too. I would play around a bit more with color and placement until you "see" what works. Another thing you could consider is to piece some long gentle curves into your outer border--similar to these curved rail blocks.
ReplyDeleteI really like the way your project is asymmetrical - and love the colors - you have a real eye for picking a nice muted selection of colors/fabrics that really stand out. Thank you for continuing working on the LibRR. Will be fun when it's done!
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing purple!! What a lovely zip of color to add in somehow...
ReplyDeleteLooks nice and fresh with these colors!
