Since June asked...

This is the back of my LRR

I had ordered the yellow online last spring and when it arrived I couldn't use it as planned and besides I didn't like it and it moved into my stash. But now I was pleased to find,  here it fits perfectly. So hurray to a good stash :-)

And thank you for all the nice comments !

LibRR 1 - a finish

Hi,
I finally finished LRR1 and I like it . It's mostly machine quilted, but I outlined the circles and triangles by hand.

It's called 'Red Dot'... maybe you find the explanation on this quilt ;-)

As I have too many UFO's , I didn't joint this round, but I can see, how much fun you have !

Much better...

I took the left and upper border apart and added some dots and another border and now I like it a lot better.
I was sure the top was finished, but as I look at the photo there seems to be something missing in those green corner spaces ..

Still no progress

Hi, thanks for the reminder.
I'm still stuck with the curvy part, the last thing I came up with where some random dots.
Here's a try, but I'm not happy with it. Maybe it only needs a lot of more blue dots.
I also thought about fish shaped parts.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated :-))

Stuck

When I read the rules for round 4 I immediately had vines and leaves and flowers in my mind.
So I added another plain green border and positioned some vines on it and looked at it and looked at it ....and tried to see some leaves and flowers...no, I don't like this idea any more..
So now this piece already hangs for more than a week on the wall.
What I'll probably try this evening are some yellow circles in different sizes, dancing on the 2 borders. Maybe that will work..

Round 3 Rectangles

Hi, here's the simple construction I promised :-)

and here's what's left of the border fabric :

I think even the small dark blue stripes are rectangles and you can consider this as a big log-cabin block ;-)

The  fabric of the wider log came through our ww-swap into my stash, it's from Kathy and I think it's just perfect . And now it's gone, sigh .

Still having fun with the RR

Round 2 complete

I decided, it's complete. On one hand, I just had enough of making these squares, on the other hand I don't want this to get so big and thought it already looks a bit crowded.

And with that decision, I still haven't cut into the 'real stash'. Still using my scraps.

After some pondering I know what to make for the next round, it will be a very simple construction.

:-)

Round 1 complete

This is how Round 1 ended for me :-) .
I'm not quite sure if I like the small yellow stripe, but I leave it as it is. For now I've only used my scrap bins, I'm curious when I'm going to have to use the 'real' stash .

New member

Hi, I'm late to the party, but am happy to join :-)
I'm part of the Yahoo LibQuilters and read more or less regularly and post even less.
Here's my starting block:

I had just the inner block and to make it a bit liberate I added the dark blue fabric. I haven't any more of the green flowery fabrik and the dark blue fabric and will try to use up other fabrics in my stash. To get it under control :-)
I've already played around with the second round, here's my second photo:

I tried the b/w fabric because I thought the green/blue/yellow palette is a bit predictable.. We'll see.
Btw, the b/w scrap is from the package Kathy sent me .

And I would be happy to see you on my blog.
( I have to admit I do not post very often )

Happy RR ;-)
