Round 3 done at last!
I decided to go with black and white, was feeling like I already had plenty of color. I had a piece of unused black and white strata, cut on 45 degree angle and added after I added a mostly black border to break the color from last round. Hope next round calls for color now I think it has to much black and white ;-)

I LOVE this! I hardly ever use black and white fabric, but you've showed me that I should give it a try!
ReplyDeleteCyndi, I honestly have to give credit (the use of black and white) my reteat experince with Freddy Moran and Gwen Marston earlier this year (that's where I first met June) before that it was not really in my quilting bag of tricks. So I am trying out the new ideas I picked up there.
DeleteI also love your design. I think our design sensibilities are very similar (perhaps I give myself too much credit), but never the less, I see so much I like in your design.
ReplyDeleteYou chose exactly right -- that border is perfect.
ReplyDeleteEddie - This is charming. You have done a wonderful job of incorporating the tips we heard at that workshop - and bet you have also been reading all the books you bought there too! : ) June
