Second Border Completed--for now anyhow!

I wanted to curve the border a bit on this one, but I only had one 2.5 inch WOF of the lovely purple batik.  So far I've finger pressed the squares on.  Will set them with iron when I'm sure and then I'll quilt them into the quilting rather than going around each small square.  I felt it needed something bright, and hope to brighten more as I move out--we'll see how it flows.  My blog:

  1. Pat, I really like the simple elegance of your quilt. The changing size of the squares gives the viewer good eye movement--it's all coming together so well.

  2. I like the way the squares are dancing along with the triangles - what a great addition...!

  3. What a clever idea... the dancing squares echo the pinwheels and remind us that they are squares as well as triangles
